July 31st (Destin here we come!!)

This morning we hit the road around 7:30 to head to Destin, Florida...yay!! First stop Shipley Do-nuts right down the street. We ate at one in Arkansas when we visited Nick's grandma and Uncle Steve. They are soooo good...the glazed are the best. Plus our hotel food wasn't the best.
We got into Alabama...love their sign. We hit up a Sam's club for some cheap lunch..pizza!! Then we were off for more driving.

We sure went over a bunch of bridges going to Florida.

Trees look so different the more south you go. Skinny.

Finally we made it to the Florida border!!! Side Note: We stopped to get out at a gas station after we got into Florida and an older man started talking to us because we have a Kansas Jayhawk on our car. And started talking to us and told us to follow him to the toll bridge to get to Destin since he lives right before the bridge. So funny we told him we have gps but he was super nice so we went with it and followed. Same way we were going to go!! lol. But it was great watching him drive...he was on everyone's ass...speeding!! Super funny. Just had to put that in so I would remember.
After the toll we got to get on the bridge to Destin!! Yay....Happy Happy girls.

Almost to the condo....one more turn and we were there!!
We got a one bedroom condo, with bunk beds in the hallway!! It was right across the street from the ocean. Super clean, newly updated and roomy. So happy to be out of the car and ready to see the water.

I need one of these while I unpack a few things.
We then got back in the car to get some groceries at Walmart for breakfast, lunches and a few dinners.
We made a quick dinner so we could hit the beach tonight!!
The water looks gorgeous...yay can't believe we made it...first long car ride ever!

The water was super warm!

Happy little girls!

 Isn't this crazy beautiful!!

As it got darker it got more beautiful out!!

Covering mommies feet.

Finding little fish everywhere.

                                          Love this picture...family beach time.

Wow so glad we are here. It was a long road to get here but totally worth it.
The water is absolutely gorgeous, clear and white sandy beaches you can't beat it.
Cant wait to see what the rest of our days hold...so excited!!
Now time to get some rest.
