December 5th (BAD NIGHT/San Diego Zoo/Nick's Family!)

San Diego Zoo

We made it after a horrible night sleep of being woken up by a drunken brother and sister couple that then had the cops come at 2:30 in the morning.

So glad to say that we were out of there first thing in the morning and ready to hit the Zoo, me being a little tired!! Everyone luckily slept fine.

1st stop the flying thing over the zoo...forgot the name. lol.

San Diego airport is super close...lol.

                       Snow leopard was beautiful and happy to be up and around!

                                       There was a baby hippo...I love hippo's!

            The main attractions are the Pandas..the one up top is the mommy. She was super tired.

The one eating is her baby Panda. They were super cute and awesome to see. Never seen one in person.

                   The cheetah above was beautiful...she has lots of friends including dogs.

Koala Bears were so much fun to watch eat and climb.

After a long time at the zoo. We almost completed it and left around 1:00 to find some better food. We found a place called Wich Wich Sandwich shop...totally yummy. Then we grabbed some water bottles and a few snacks and headed to the NEW hotel....Holiday Inn Express and Suites. It is gorgeous and was only 6 months old. So glad we switched.

After some moving in we headed down to the outdoor pool and hot tub.

They have garage doors that open from the hotel to the pool and an awesome indoor outdoor firepit!

We mostly stayed in the hot tub but Addie was brave and swam and swam in the heated pool.

We did a little swimming and then it was time to get ready to go meet Nick's family that we had never met before.

We headed to their Itailian Restaruant that they own...awesome!!

Great Aunt Connie and George...super fun and nice to talk with.

Felt like I knew them forever.

Mike and Andrea...Nick's Dads Cousin is Andrea.

Andrea and Karen loving on their little Ella. Karen is Andrea's sister..she flew in from Arizona just to met us all! That made us feel pretty special. We really enjoyed all the fabulous food and loved chatting with everyone. 

The kids fell asleep at the end so no Christmas fair for us. Back to the hotel to put them to bed.

Now Daddy and I get to sleep together again.

What a great first day in San Diego. 

Now onto an easier day in La Jolla tomorrow!
