July 27th (Adelyn Leaving For Camp/Stephen's birthday Dinner-Black Bear Diner/Adelyn Camp Issues)

Adelyn was all smiles this morning with her bestie Taylor and her sister Kenna as they left to head to Youth Front to be helpers/mini camp counselors. 

This popped up from when they were little.

Well as the day went on Adelyn started texting me that she hated the camp and that she was in the kitchen cleaning dishes. She was with Taylor but isn't happy! Ugh! 

I got her to just suck it up then we headed to dinner at Black Bear Diner.

Yuck! I don't recommend this place for dinner. Gross.

We planned to go get Sylas and Maddy's just Nick, Ella and I. Yum!!

I saw they advertised this online and we had to check it out!

I thought Nick and I were going to share the flight, but he got me this and he got his own with other flavors. Oh geez. Glad I didn't eat a lot of dinner. Ella got her own but ate a lot of mine also!

I just love their ice cream here, it's the best.

(Adelyn texted me again late around 10 pm and is very upset and doesn't want to be there! Ugh. I am drained. Ella had been acting up the day before and now Adelyn. I am not doing well and so ready for school to start! Ugh!! Hopefully tomorrow gets better??)

 

July 26th (My Veggies!)

My haul today of veggies!

Wow I hadn't been out to pick any in awhile! Yum!

 

July 25th (Stephen's 40th Birthday Party @ my Parent's House-Making Food/Setting Up/Swimming)

I baked mini cupcakes, made white chocolate oreos/pretzels and made puppy chow. 

I also made appetizers for the party.

I came over early to decorate with my mom.

I also made a fun gift of beer, snacks and pictures.

Oh wait I made this collage as well! I was very involved if you can't tell. Ugh! So busy lately.

Adelyn is working. So Nick brought Ella over later. We went swimming since it was so so hot!!

We ate dinner with Ella and all the people that came. 

We didn't stay long since we had Ella, plus we don't drink anymore so wasn't really our jam.

I think my brother had a great time though.

Happy 40th Birthday Stephen!

 

July 23rd (K-State Visit-Adelyn and I touring K-State/Eating Lunch)

If you would have told me that my daughter might want to go to K-State I wouldn't have believed you for my future. Ha. I have actually never been to Manhattan, like ever. Ha. 

Nick watched Ella in the morning, since we had to leave like 6:30 am. Then Micah came over to watch Ella for the day since its' a 2 hr drive to K-State!

We made it and are excited to see what they have.

Checking out the Education department. They are all so nice and helpful. Adelyn might be leaning towards Middle School or High School now. Still isn't sure.

It was a rainy day today.

We really liked the campus and dorms. 

Adelyn really liked it!!

Time to go grab some lunch somewhere.

We found a fun local place. Unusual places but looked interesting.

We both got 2 different chicken sandwiches so we could share. Adelyn liked mine more and I liked hers. Lol! Lunch was really good and fun to just concentrate my time on just her without Ella!

We needed to get back so we couldn't go explore more unfortunately. A 2 hr drive didn't leave a lot of time.

We got home just in time for Micah to get out of our house on time. Ella had a great time with her.

I am exhausted from all the walking and driving 4 hrs. Ha.

So excited for Adelyn's future. I hope she loves college as much as I did!

 

July 21st (Olathe Lake-Micah and Lincoln/Hot)

Ella loves playing in the sand.

We had free pass to get into Olathe Lake with our Pogo Pass. 

Micah and Lincoln joined us.

It was really really hot, so I knew we wouldn't last too long.

The lake is pretty small so the water isn't refreshing at all! We stayed a little over an hour, Micah left before. It was too hot, Ella needed to get out of the sun even though she didn't want to. We grabbed sonic drinks to bring home for us and Addie. Yum!
 

July 19th (Life Church Overland Park-Cars Theme @ the Movies/Nick's Family over to swim & eat/Pretty View)

At the Movies: Cars Theme

Kenna and Taylor are in the animal suits. Very fun theme.

After church we got home to finish cooking and getting ready for Nick's family to come over to swim and eat smash burgers!

Perfect hot day for the pool! Everyone enjoyed the pool and burgers were so yummy!

After everyone left I thought it looked so nice out of my windows. And I am so thankful!
 

July 18th (Ella's Friends and Mom's)

We had Lily and Brighton over along with their mom's. 

It's always so nice to catch up with Necia and Stephanie because they know how hard it is in the summer with our kids. 

Great time and perfect weather to be in the pool today.
