March 16th (Day 4:The Island-Raining/Cinnamon Bread Factory/Applewood @ the Applebarn/3 Bears-Black Bear/Hot Tub-Snow)

Well it's raining and cold!! Boo!

We made breakfast and enjoyed some down time at the cabin. 

Then we headed out since we are vacation and we need to go see every!!

Plan of things to do if we want.

1st up: The Island to check out the Dinosaurs and some shops.

These Dinosaurs are so cute and fun!! They are animatronics too!

Adelyn was not thrilled with being out in the rain and cold but we are on vacation and need to see it all while we are here.

Luckily I brought our rain boots.

Ella loved them.

Had to stop in here for Addie, she loves rubber ducks.

Sooo many ducks!

Nick went to pull up the car while we walked and saw some Dinosaurs before we left.

Little baby dinosaurs, that moved and made noise.

All the clouds.

We headed out and decided to go to the Apple Barn to get Apple Fritters. Along the way we stopped at the Cinnamon Bread Factory, this place is supposed to be the best Cinnamon bread-better than at Dollywood. We didn't get any at Dollywood. So I really want to try it. This place is only open till 3 pm and sell out a lot.

Well we were lucky today! Got in just in time! Got two loaves-regular and then a butter cream on top one! Yum. We are taking them back to the cabin for later and tomorrow morning. After us the line got huge, they ran out and only had 6 loaves after us! Wow!

Next stop Applewood Restaurant to get some apple fritters.

We were just going to order some apple fritters but they come free with an entrée and we were a little hunger since we haven't had lunch yet.

We got chicken tenders to share, with apple sauce, mashed potatoes and French fries. Then we got the apple fritters for free with it!

Nick liked them.

Cute place. Raining still and getting colder! Started to snow a little. 

We headed to the Applebarn area/store.

I wanted some hot apple cider if they had it.

Found some goodies to take back to the people helping with our animals too.

Old stove and fridge-love it!

I stole the recipe out of the cookbook they had in the store of the apple fritters! 

I didn't want to spend the $13 on it! Hehe.

Found my hot apple cider too, yum. And it was under $2! Wow what a deal.

Next up 3 Bears store to go see live black bears!

This place is huge and full of people!! Lots of souvenirs, but I didn't find anything. Ella found her skunk stuffed animal again and we bought it this time.

Paid money to see the Black Bears but only one was out and about. It was cold out.

We had to pay to see the bear, it was so cute and playful.

It was around 4 pm and we headed back to the cabin because the temp was dropping quickly and more snow was coming. We have a steep way up to the cabin so we didn't want to get stuck and not make it up!

We ate dinner from our place. Then Ella wanted to get in the hot tub with us!

The hot tub felt great in this cold weather. Even had some snow flurries while we were in it.

Got Ella to bed at her normal time, to get her some more rest!

Going to try to get out tomorrow, hope the roads don't freeze tonight!!

 

March 15th (Day 3: Dollywood All Day/Moonshine Mountain Ice Cream)

I made breakfast and then we hit the road to Dollywood. 

Everyone is a little tired.

We got there right after it opened and then got a pass for Ella. Since she is in a wheel chair some of the time we got kind of a fast pass! Score.

Fire in the hole roller coaster, all of us!

Wild Eagle roller coaster, your feet dangle. 

Nick and Addie went 1st then Addie and I went. 

Super fun, but did go upside down which isn't my fav thing to do anymore with feeling sick!

Adelyn is such a good sister to go on all this rides for us. 

Both girls liked this one. all the spinning. Ugh no.

Enjoying the day, super nice out!

An indoor ride! This one finally opened up and we used the fast pass and got in quickly. When we left the line was sooo sooo long!

Nick and Adelyn went to get in line for a bigger roller coaster while Ella and I headed to the cars she can drive! Super fun.

Got off the elephants and headed straight to the train just in time to get on the train! Yay!

It only runs 1 time on the hour.

Well we went to find some ice cream to end the day, but they ran out of chocolate. Soo we opted to leave early and go get dessert!

(We also ate food at Dollywood and it was so so good! We got pulled pork fries, fried chicken, mac n cheese and an icee!)

Before we left we got a picture! I didn't take that many pictures since we were having fun on rides!

We had a great time at Dollywood and are planning on coming back Wednesday. Monday and Tuesday are supposed to be cold, rainy, icy or snowy out!

Time to drive down the strip and look at all the stuff. 

Also to head to an ice cream shop.

This place had great reviews, so we headed here!

No one here since it was dinner time, but this was our dinner! Ha.

Flights of ice cream are my favorite flights!

Mint chip, coconut, and salted Carmel with chocolate chips.

Nick got his own as well! Yum. Their ice cream was super yummy.

Adelyn got chocolate pudding.

Mellow Mushroom was next door and they had these cute sitting places outside.

Storm is a coming!

Mountains.

The storm is headed our way soon. We headed back to the house for the night and to stay in! We are all tired from the long day at the amusement park! I guess we will see how the day goes tomorrow, but there might be snow and ice!
