August 13th (Ella's 1st Day of School-My Baby is A Freshman @ Olathe East/Snakes are Going Back)

9th Grade Year 

Ella 

Leopard is her favorite right now. She even got a matching $10 backpack from Walmart! 

She is SOOOOOO excited to go to the BIG school and see sissy there-starting tomorrow.

Bubble gum out and about.

Beetlejuice is out and about too.

They must know they are going back to the school today.

Adelyn, Ella and I took the snakes back after Ella got home.

We got to go see the other animals in student nat and hang out up there a little bit.

Tomorrow is Adelyn's 1st day!

 

August 12th- (Winstead's Tradition)

Traditions continue.

August 10th (Teacher Gifts/Smash Burgers/HOA Zoom Meeting-Oh Geez)

I made up these cute teacher gifts for Ella's 3 teachers!

I didn't know how many para's so I will have to do something for them around fall time.

Smash burgers for dinner tonight! And the best part of the night, HOA ZOOM MEETING!! Haha.

Here are the people on the HOA and some of the other neighbors.

Ok so here is the shorter version.

A lady name Chrissy I know a cul-de-sac over has a home daycare for over 20 years. 

The HOA want her to stop having the daycare, which I think is dumb since she has had it for all these years. Now is she a little crazy and didn't handle things correctly, probably not.

She tried to get the other HOA members removed and then put herself on the HOA plus some other neighbor friends she likes. Then told me she wants to not have an HOA at all. Which I am down for. We pay over $200 a year now for nothing! We don't have anything. 

Any who now this is the real HOA on the zoom trying to address the FAKE HOA-lol! We have been getting letters and emails from both HOA's saying they are the real HOA!! ha. We have never been to a meeting or I don't really care-we don't follow the rules, which actually nobody follows them. So in my opinion there shouldn't be an HOA if they aren't enforcing anything and just using our money to pay a company to manage our money to do nothing with.

Well I am sure nothing will come of this!

 

August 8th & 9th-Dart Weekend @ the Lake of the Ozarks-Back Water Jacks/GO Karts/Randy's Custard/Governors Cup)

We got to the lake around 4 pm Friday night, after getting everything in with Nick's help who was already there we headed to dinner at Back Water Jacks. Yum. It has the best fried grouper in the world!

Next up Go Karts.

I opted to not go kart. It's not my favorite. But they all had fun. Then we headed to get custard at Randy's-yummy. We brought it back to eat later. We got Ella to bed a little later than normal. Time to relax before we head to bed.

Our Airbnb we normally stay in! It's always nice to see the Lake! So pretty when the sun is setting.

Adelyn helps watch Ella for us while we play darts all day Saturday and partially on Sunday. We really appreciate her for this!

Our team-Lake of the Ozarks Sharks! Lets go!

We didn't play that well. The 4 woman team-we won the last 2 years together, and they won one before me, but this time we just got to top 8. 

Next morning we headed out in the morning to play singles.

I didn't play very well, but that's ok I am ready to head home!

This is my last year to play darts on the team. It's hard to go the weekend before school starts plus leaving Ella and running back and forth isn't the easiest.

He was still playing singles when I left with the girls.

The girls and I got home in the afternoon then Nick got home a little later! 

Summer is almost over and I need to prep before we get busy!

 

August 4th (311, Dirty Heads Concert at Morton Salt Amphitheater w/ My cousins)

Tonight we got to have a night out.

We picked up my cousin Keri and her husband Ryan to head to Morton Amphitheater to see 311 and Dirty Heads!

I was excited to see the new venue that just opened this summer. 

We got her a little late so we didn't get to see Rome-new Sublime people. Darn. 

But at least it ended up not being as hot as I thought it was going to be and you could bring in a big water bottle, which we froze before we went! Smart thinking on our part.

We just got lawn seats since they were like 2 for $55! Great deal.

Enjoying our time just sitting on our blanket listening to music.

We heard a group called Ocean Alley, they were good. 

Alternative music starts to sound similar after awhile. Lol.

We went and got some food-it was ok but better than other venues. We also ran into my brother's friends Zach and Dan.

311!!

311 was great, but didn't know all their songs. Then Dirty Heads came on. Nick really likes them and I like a few of there songs. Especially -I'm on Vacation song! One of my favs. Well they kept singing songs we didn't know and it was getting late. So we ventured down a little from the lawn and found some seats. They started singing songs Nick and I knew. The seats are amazing with super awesome aquistics!

They played this seven seas song really good! I hadn't heard it before. But the base was hitting! I pretty much made Nick leave-it was a little before 11! But he had to get up at 4 am for work. It sucks it was during the week. We had to take Keri and Ryan home still as well. We didn't get home till midnight! Ugh!! I couldn't fall asleep until 1 am! Great concert though!

 

August 3rd (Fish Sandwich)

Tonight I made yummy fried fish sandwiches with a new recipe along with homemade french fries! It was very tasty! Oh and some garden tomatoes on the side!
 

August 1st (Beetlejuice/Carabbas)

Look at cutie Beetlejuice looking out! He is so cute.

Ella had Respite night tonight so Nick and I went out to dinner at Carabbas. 

We have had a gift card for there forever and decided we needed to use it!

It was really really good. Plus you always have leftovers!

Nice to get some time alone and have a date night!
