August 4th (311, Dirty Heads Concert at Morton Salt Amphitheater w/ My cousins)

Tonight we got to have a night out.

We picked up my cousin Keri and her husband Ryan to head to Morton Amphitheater to see 311 and Dirty Heads!

I was excited to see the new venue that just opened this summer. 

We got her a little late so we didn't get to see Rome-new Sublime people. Darn. 

But at least it ended up not being as hot as I thought it was going to be and you could bring in a big water bottle, which we froze before we went! Smart thinking on our part.

We just got lawn seats since they were like 2 for $55! Great deal.

Enjoying our time just sitting on our blanket listening to music.

We heard a group called Ocean Alley, they were good. 

Alternative music starts to sound similar after awhile. Lol.

We went and got some food-it was ok but better than other venues. We also ran into my brother's friends Zach and Dan.

311!!

311 was great, but didn't know all their songs. Then Dirty Heads came on. Nick really likes them and I like a few of there songs. Especially -I'm on Vacation song! One of my favs. Well they kept singing songs we didn't know and it was getting late. So we ventured down a little from the lawn and found some seats. They started singing songs Nick and I knew. The seats are amazing with super awesome aquistics!

They played this seven seas song really good! I hadn't heard it before. But the base was hitting! I pretty much made Nick leave-it was a little before 11! But he had to get up at 4 am for work. It sucks it was during the week. We had to take Keri and Ryan home still as well. We didn't get home till midnight! Ugh!! I couldn't fall asleep until 1 am! Great concert though!

 

August 3rd (Fish Sandwich)

Tonight I made yummy fried fish sandwiches with a new recipe along with homemade french fries! It was very tasty! Oh and some garden tomatoes on the side!
 

August 1st (Beetlejuice/Carabbas)

Look at cutie Beetlejuice looking out! He is so cute.

Ella had Respite night tonight so Nick and I went out to dinner at Carabbas. 

We have had a gift card for there forever and decided we needed to use it!

It was really really good. Plus you always have leftovers!

Nice to get some time alone and have a date night!

 

July 31st (Garden Tomatoes)

July 30th (Johnson County Fair-Family Outing)

We headed out to the Johnson County fair after dinner tonight. 

We wanted to see the animals, look around and get a treat!

We didn't want to do rides since we have done a lot of that this summer. 

They didn't have many booths that we could find, so we just got a loaded up funnel cake to share. 

Adelyn got a dirty soda. Then we headed to get a shaved ice in Gardner instead of the fair for Ella. 

 

July 28th-Horrible Long Day-Picking Adelyn Up From Camp/Picking Up Ella's Friends-Chuckie Cheese/Exhausted)

This morning I had to go get Ella at camp with Ella. She was crying and couldn't stay any longer.

Ugh! It was emotional and time consuming. 

Ran home fed Ella a little then headed to get her friends Tyler and Mazey to go with us to Chuckie Cheese. I was in a daze and getting Ella's friends was a lot. 

We met up with Ms. Micah, her son and another Para Mrs. Amanda.

We had a fun time. But it was cut short since Mazey needed to be home in 2 hours. 

We headed to Krispy Kreme to get a donut after, then head home after we dropped off the friends.

Ella liked having them in our car.

I went home and was exhausted! 

Adelyn has been changing lately with not wanting to do volleyball and now having a hard time at the church camp. I am just worried about her. But I think she is just figuring out life and becoming a grown up! Love you Addie!

 

July 27th (Adelyn Leaving For Camp/Stephen's birthday Dinner-Black Bear Diner/Adelyn Camp Issues)

Adelyn was all smiles this morning with her bestie Taylor and her sister Kenna as they left to head to Youth Front to be helpers/mini camp counselors. 

This popped up from when they were little.

Well as the day went on Adelyn started texting me that she hated the camp and that she was in the kitchen cleaning dishes. She was with Taylor but isn't happy! Ugh! 

I got her to just suck it up then we headed to dinner at Black Bear Diner.

Yuck! I don't recommend this place for dinner. Gross.

We planned to go get Sylas and Maddy's just Nick, Ella and I. Yum!!

I saw they advertised this online and we had to check it out!

I thought Nick and I were going to share the flight, but he got me this and he got his own with other flavors. Oh geez. Glad I didn't eat a lot of dinner. Ella got her own but ate a lot of mine also!

I just love their ice cream here, it's the best.

(Adelyn texted me again late around 10 pm and is very upset and doesn't want to be there! Ugh. I am drained. Ella had been acting up the day before and now Adelyn. I am not doing well and so ready for school to start! Ugh!! Hopefully tomorrow gets better??)
