June 25th (Chicago/Canada Trip Day 1: Driving To Norridge IL/Abe Lincoln Childhood Home/Dinner Cute Town)

We got on the road around 9:30! Yay!! Lets do this! 8 hr drive not bad at all. I love all the bridges!

We stopped along the way to see Lincoln's childhood home. We wanted to get out and stretch our legs a little bit! Plus love finding little places along the way!

We only walked around for about 15 mins! Lets get going, back in the car.

Cute little town I found a food place that had great reviews. 

They actually had like 6 to 8 little restaurants with outdoor seating in this little downtown area.

We sat outside, look how cute!

Unfortunately the food was not very good. 

Adelyn's chicken tenders look like they were worse than Tyson's frozen. Gross! We ate what we could.

Some arm wrestling was going on as well. Nick was impressed with Adelyn's strength and technique!

Adelyn beat me! Ha. I was laughing a lot though.

We were going to get ice cream at a shop across the street but Ella was miss behaving! She is still getting over this cough and cold she has had for 9 days. Hopefully it goes away soon. It is getting a lot better. Not so much coughing anymore. We got back in the car and headed to Norridge about 25 mins from Chicago. Our Airbnb is really nice and modern! Practically brand new. Nick and I grabbed a few items from whole foods after putting Ella to bed. We are going into Chicago tomorrow to spend the day! Yay can't wait!
 

June 23rd (Last OB Appt-Dr. Snyder/Swimming with McCloskey Girls-Ruth and Lizzie)

Today was the last day I will be going to the Olathe Women's Center!! They are closing in September and retiring. I have gone here since I was 16 years old! I loved having Dr. Snyder as a gyno/OB! He delivered both my girls and many many children! 

I went to get checked up and started crying. He is such a funny, laid back, great doctor! 

Swimming with the McCloskey clan today along with Ruth and Lizzie. 

I had everyone over to catch up and to hear about Ruth's trip to France!!

We had a great time, but the water was FREEZING!!

 

June 22nd (Chick Fila w/Simmon's Girls/Neighbors Park Job)

Chick Fila meet up for Lunch since it was too cold to swim!

We had a great time meeting up for lunch. The pool was so cold unfortunately. Hopefully in July it will be warmer!? Ha. I still can't believe how old and big these 5 girls are getting. 

The neighbors are so weird with their cars. 

They parked 1/2 way in the street?! Like move your other car up and then you don't have to be in the street. They are the weirdest!

 

June 21st (Fathers Day-Save the Bat/Chocolate Souffle/Rainbow Wall)

A BAT!!!

Nick opened up the skimmer basket to clean the pool and a BAT was swimming in it. We went to find something to help it and then it had floated to the bottom of the skimmer basket. So Nick got it out with a stick thing, gave it some CPR with the stick and it LIVED!! Oh my goodness. We did so much for this little Bat to live. Eventually it started to move then Nick got it to the grass and it climbed up the tree to hang upside down! yay! But they still creep me out.

Nick wanted to just work on Ella's room today and get things done around the house.

Okay-Happy Father's Day!

I made Noodles and Beef for dinner along with Chocolate Souffle for the 1st time. 

They were just individual ones and so yummy!

(We went out on Thursday with my Parents and brother to Jalapeno's for Father's Day Dinner)

 

June 20th (Raising Cane's Lunch-Surprising Addie/Pool with Ella)

Adelyn worked on a Saturday today so we decided to go get lunch and surprise her!

I thought she might be on the register but she wasn't, she was doing drinks for the drive thru. 

But she saw us and waved!

There she is working her booty off! 

So proud of her, she is doing a great job. She doesn't love love the job it self, but likes her co workers!

Ella wanted to go swim again today and it was warm out.

So we headed out while Nick painted more in Ella's room. Nick is pushing it to get stuff painted in time! Ugh So much painting. 

Carpet coming July 10th!!!! I need it done around here. 

Nick came down to get in the pool for the 1st time this year. He got to enjoy himself a little bit, which is great. Nice Saturday. 

 

June 19th (Jake and Carrie over to Swim)

Today we had Jake and Carrie over to swim. We haven't had anyone over yet with this crazy colder/rainy weather!

Ella and Jake get a long so well and he is such a sweet boy!

Great time catching up with Carrie also.

 

June 15th (The Pool/My Vegetables)

Nick worked his ass off getting our old hot tub that has been broken for 3 or 4 years broken down and thrown out this weekend. 

I have a rib out of place so I couldn't do too much this weekend. I cooked and baked things. But I had to pop Advil to just do anything. Ugh! I need to go to the chiropractor.

He also cleaned this area out from weeds and wood. (Found two snakes! Ugh Yuck get out of here)

My tomato plants are going crazy. We had so much rain for the last few weeks, they have gotten so BIG!

So we are almost done with the house inside so of course we need to do some landscaping here! Ha. We do need a pathway for my planters. I also want to add some blueberry bushes! Maybe we will get to this in July/Aug or September. It will be done one day.
