December 3rd (Beverly Hills/Pink's hot Dog/Observatory/Santa Monica Pier)

California!!!

                                                              We found the sign!!

Adelyn was excited to see the sign since it had the name Holly like a friend in her class. lol
So we decided to travel up the hills and check it out. There were some huge houses and crazy houses just on the hill. We saw some being built...it was amazing how they were doing it. Much different then Kansas.
Selfie at the top of the hill.

This palm tree was huge!!
Then we went back down to find the hollywood stars.
                                                               Vince Blvd!
We didn't get out to look at all the stars...it really isnt the best area and there are a bunch of them. The kids were getting impatient. They wanted to do something fun!

Wax museum...they were setting up red carpet here and lot of people were waiting. So I don't know if there was a new star going to be put down with an actual star coming. But we didn't stay.

Interesting McDonalds here.
This was the high school in LA....they were so cool. All the schools we saw the kids could walk to different buildings outside like in the movies. lol.

We started to get hungry at 10 am since our time is all off by 2 hours. I wanted to try Pink's since it is a big deal in LA! So luckily it was close by.

Hot dogs for everyone....fries and onion rings also!

Oh and it was cool that they had glass bottle pop! Addie really liked the sprite.
Bacon, chili and cheese for daddy.
Yum...I went out on a branch and got chili cheese!
They hot dogs were great and I loved the onion rings.

Time to drive around and head back to the condo to walk to the Beverly Mall....lots of expensive shops!
                                              Paramont Pictures studios.
Big richie houses every where we looked in Beverly Hills.

Walking to the mall...about a  10 minute walk.
We didn't buy anything but enjoyed looking at the mall. Too expensive for my blood. At this point I was really feeling jet lagged, but we must carry on.
Next stop driving up to the observatory to look out at the hills and all of Los Angeles.

The observatory. Really cool place...you can even go on the roof.

Love the city scape up here.

These two cuties. Playing inside the observatory.
On top of the roof!

SUR!!! Oh my goodness so excited that we got to at least stop by here. It doesn't open until 5 pm and it was only 2;50 so we couldn't go in. But at least I got to get a selfie in. I sure love this show..wish I could have met some of the actors!
(Side Note: SUR is super close to the rode and it doesn't look the way I would have thought!)

Look at these buses...they are double the normal size ones!!
It was now time to head to Santa Monica to go to the pier and see the beach.
We got there right before the sun was setting....it was amazing perfect timing!!

                                                                   Gorgeous.

Hills near by.

The girls were super excited about seeing the sand and beach.

The background in the pictures is so beautiful!! Can't believe we are here!
                                                        Love...and yes people were swimming.

Dolphin!

                                                    Love my little family.
A dolphin covered in christmas lights.
Time to ride on the amazing Ferris wheel!

Now Addie and I get to go on the roller coaster.
They let us go twice for free!! It wasn't very long and was just ok...but Addie loved it.
Now Ella gets to ride a little ride.
After the pier fun we headed over to get dinner at a Mexican place. It was ok...very expensive and Ella had a HUGE melt down from being hungry.
Then of coarse after we ate we found the promenade which had cheaper restaurants and shops.
It was totally cute with all the Christams Lights!

This Steak and Shake was classy and even served alcohol!

They had a huge Christmas Tree!
I loved the palm trees decorated...so unique.
I loved Santa Monica...I would definitely stay here if we come back. It had a fun vibe and seemed a little cheaper then Beverly Hills. Plus it would be great to stay on the beach..which they had an amazing hotel right there. In the future I would love to stay here in the summer!
  The kids loved the pier.
They fell asleep on the way back to the condo! Great first day...now time for some sleep.
