August 2nd (Seaside/Beach/Harbor Walk)

On our way to SeaSide about 30-45 minutes away from Destin, Fl! This is where they filmed parts of the movie The Truman Show!! Nick loves the movie so we decided to check it out since it was going to rain first thing this morning.

We are getting closer...lots of people on bikes.

1st stop Truman's house from the movie!! Pretty cool to see it in person.
Next we walked around to get a feel for where we should go and what we should do.
Awesome palm tree.

Then we went back to our car and changed into our suits to go to the beach they have here. We also brought our lunch to eat at the beach.
This is the way to the beach!!

I don't know if you can tell but there was a layer of seaweed in the ocean right by the beach....totally gross!! Not clean like Destin. So the more we looked at it the more we decided to not stay and to head back to Destin instead!! Total Fail!!

And we are leaving...I just felt bad for all the people staying here and having to swim in the seaweed! Gross!!
We stopped at some chairs to eat our lunch and to get some pickles that they said were the world's best pickles! Another FAIL...lol. The pickles were super sour and not cold at all. Well Sea side you were very cute and quaint but not that much more to offer!! I think we will stay in Destin!

This is their main drive with cute little food trucks everywhere!
Cool Cat Bench on our walk back to the car.
Flowers made of glass.

Beautiful houses...see ya Sea Side!!
Finally back in Destin!!

Nick sure loves his girls..so sweet!

Building sand castles so Ella can knock them down.

They had a set up all ready for a wedding...we couldn't stay to find out since we had to go get ready to go to the Harbor Walk.

My two cute little girls.
We drove past the Harbor Walk on accident so we got to see over the bridge. There were all these boats and big water blow up slides in the water. Looked like a lot of fun if we had a boat to get out there.

Here is a picture of the hotel on the Harbor Walk and the Harbor Walk.

We decided to eat somewhere on Harbor Walk...so we started to walk around to figure it out.

We decided to settle on Margaritaville.
Our view from our table that Nick got us from refusing the first option!! Great job honey.

These people were waiting to get on the Dolphin Cruise.
At the end of our meal the girls fed the fish their fries and food. These fish were super fast...crazy.

We walked the whole Harbor and found a man that does blown glass right at his stand. Adelyn found a turtle that she loved. So we were going to buy her one. Then Ella saw another turtle she liked well the guy that makes them had a special place for Ella in his heart that he just gave it to her. So sweet! Thanks...the blown glass is beautiful.

This is the place I wanted to check out. Daiquiris....Do you like Pina Colada's...I do and man this one was strong!! I was drunk off of just one. lol.

We ended the night getting the girls a kona ice to share!
Super nice night out. They have a parade that starts at 8:30 but we thought it started at 7 so it just got to late for us to last. The girls were tired and so were we! Next time for sure.
