Yaya's Alpaca Farm
Cute Alpaca Picture before we go in.So we went into a store with benches were they told us information about Alpaca's and how they got started. And then they let in about 10 or 12 Alpaca's to pet and feed!! Just don't pet them on the head or butt...lol!
Such an up close experience.
There were only about 15 of us so we got to pet them a lot!!
Ella liked the white one the best.
They just laid down like they were dogs.
Love this.
Adelyn loves Alpaca and Llama's.
There was a cute kitty also.
Love this of the kids with the Alpaca's.
Selfie time.
This one had injured legs and was named Christmas.
Ruth enjoying the Alpaca's.
These were the babies.
Ella having fun, even though she was a little freaked out to feed them.
I found the kitty.
They let you have a photo opp as well!
Then we got to move to the big barn to meet 40 other Alpaca's since it was too cold and windy to be outside.
Here they come and they are hungry!!
They were all over us!!
I love the one looking at me while I snapped a pic...ha.
Ella only wanted to pet them and was a little freaked out if they came at her.
We came back to the store area and we got to see how they make Alpaca fur into fabric.
The wife dyes the alpaca fur then they can make things with it. It is super super soft. He showed us how to put it through the machine with all different colors. The kids got to help.
The fabric we made.
He also showed us how it is water resistance!
This was such an amazing experience, so glad we got to go and not with many people. They used to have 50 people at a time but with covid they do less than 20.
After our 2 hour tour we found a place to eat.
The Garage was the restaurant and it was soooo yummy, great burgers and fries!
We got home around 2:30, long fun filled Spring Break day with Friends.
