June 30th (Day 6:Canada Airbnb-Drive to Toronto/Toronto Sign/Walking-Kensington Market/St. Lawrence Market-lunch/The Path/Grocery Store/Black Squirrel)

We all got some good sleep.
The neighborhood is nice, but not what we were expecting. Very melting pot. Seems safe and easy to get around though.
Turned on tv for Ella this morning, and it says Canada Netflix. ha.

Cute and clean place, but not very many places to sit and relax. They need a big L shape couch for more people.
We ate breakfast and got ready to hit the road to Toronto. It was about a 30 min drive so not bad.
Window washer.
We drove to the Toronto sign and decided to stay parked here to save money and time trying to get around.
But man is it HOT!!!!
Nick and the girls.

Me and the girls. Lots of people for FIFA, which we didn't know was happening here at the time we booked. Luckily not a game today though.

Ella not wanting to take a photo.
Just us 3.

A Canadian man told us some things and how to do the street car that we want to get on. Very nice people here.
Well we decided to walk to the Kensington Market! Ugh. 25 min walk but we were going to get on a street car and couldn't figure out how with the ticket situation.
Walked through their China Town along the way.

Produce everywhere on the street. Not to sure about this.
Street car picking people up. But we wanted a pass so we have to find a super market place, like a Walgreens.

Kensington Market, not what I was expecting. Shops but seems run down. Everyone says great place to check out, hmmm.
We popped into this cute shop for some air conditioning.
Time to get to a shopping center/Walgreens for a day pass on the street car.
Well Nick thought he found one 5 mins away "walking", but it turns out it was on drive. So we walked another 20 mins through a sketchy neighborhood. Ugh!! We got there, got some water and got the passes. Then walked up a block to get on the street car to take us to St. Lawrence Market to go get some lunch. We were all starving!! The street car dropped us about a block away, but hard to navigate the street car since we don't know the streets! Haha.

This place is 2 levels full of food places, meats, cheeses, breads...etc. Man this place is packed, everyone had the same idea. A 1:30 pm lunch! Geez and this is during the week.

Adelyn wanted seafood so we got in this long line of 20 people. Then the lady came to ask what we wanted and Adelyn freaked out. She started to get emotional about not knowing what to get and being hungry. So I just ordered a Shirmp Po Boy, Lobster Roll with fries and Calamari. Nick got a sandwich from a shop next door. Then we headed to hopefully find a seat somewhere even though there weren't a lot inside.
I said lets go downstairs and as luck had it someone was leaving and we got to eat at a table. Which is so much easier with Ella!
Everything was really good. Ella shared with all of us! Well we all shared food, which I think is the best part. We also got Addie a coke to help, hopefully. Which is did, lol.
I sent Nick and Addie to go find us some dessert.
These 3 things all tasted so delicious! I also got a pressed watermelon juice, so good!
Now we had to find our way back to the car. So we got on the Street Car and it took us blocks away. Ugh. But then I saw in a hotel they had the PATH. It's Toronto's underground path way to places. Yes lets do it. Air conditioning or walking in the heat??? We might get lost if we don't look at the maps. Adelyn was actually the best at the map!

And it's not a creepy place. It's like a mall almost. Shops, businesses and restaurants are all down here. Super cool!

And looky looky we made it back to the entrance I saw at the Toronto sign originally. We did it and it was nice and cool!
Then we decided to get in the car and try to head to the water nearby. We wanted to do the ferry across to the island but it felt like over 100 degrees and we were dead! So we tried to go bye the water but there was so much traffic that we couldn't go. Ugh. It took us over 2 hours to get back to our place. Then in downtown in traffic we saw a homeless lady that had medical bracelets on doing meth with a pipe on the side of the sidewalk! Like what?? Get me outta here!
We had to get gas!
Canadian Flags everywhere.
Canada is tomorrow for them!
We went into a grocery store with the girls, we found a few candies that were different.
And we bought some hamburger meat but it was super gross, couldn't eat the burgers. We ate some leftovers and fruit we had instead.
After Ella went to bed Nick and I spotted a BLACK squirrel, say what???!! It was sooo cute!
I guess black squirrels are common in Canada. I mean too cute.
Adelyn loved it as well.
Laying on the deck railing! Precious baby!
Tomorrow is going to be another hot one for Canada's Wonderland! We need to get there on time so we can ride as much as we can early!!
