Today marked a very scary day in Olathe!!
A student came into Olathe East with a gun and opened fire!!
I was outside most of the afternoon talking with neighbors and looking at my phone trying to figure out more information on what happened!
It was soooo scary/luckily only the SRO, Assistant principal and gunman were hurt. No other students.
We also had the helicopter above our house for like 6 hours. Which got to be a little much.
We had already planned to celebrate Hunter's birthday after school at Lizzie's house so we decided to keep with it.
I made Hunter this candy 13 to celebrate!!
Well I went to Lizzie's a little before 3:10 to see about getting Addie. They wouldn't release walkers unless parents came inside to get them. So a bunch of us mom's walked over to get our kids. It was kind of emotional walking into her school and seeing all the kids in the auditorium to get your kid out of a crowd!! So sad that this had to happen in Olathe. Nothing like this has ever happened! Just brings me back to 1999 with Columbine!!

Adelyn went home with April M to hang with Taylor and Daphne till about 10 ish. What a crazy emotional day. I was so tired by the end!!
