March 17th: (Day 5: Gatlinburg-The Village/Donut Friar/Smoky Mountains/Pirate Dinner & Show)

Headed to Gatlinburg this morning and to the Smoky Mountains!

The mountains look so pretty.

We made it! So close to Pigeon Forge.

Found a lot of the people! This place is going to fill up. And it's cold outside!!

I didn't really want to go to all the places around here, just wanted to hit up the village to see the Scandinavin Village and to get donuts!

We found it!

It's like a different world in here!

Got some honey from a different honey shot, lol but this looked cute.

We found the donut shop, I have heard they have the BEST donuts ever!!

They have been here forever as well. Lets go!

This place is small and already had a line. 

But it didn't take too long, but the line was longer after we got done.

It smells amazing!

How do you even choose!! AHH. We got a dozen.

Oh my goodness, these are so fresh and amazing. We found a little table upstairs to sit out and eat some. We all just shared and tried pieces of some!

The powder Bavarian cream filled was so so good! Wow I wish we lived closer.

Time to get out of here, it's getting crowded with people.

Time to head up the mountain and check out some scenery. 

Unfortunately some main roads were closed, so we headed up to just see what we could find!

Girls were tired from all of our stuff already. So they weren't in the best mood. Lol.

We ran onto the bridge before anymore cars went over to see the river and take a picture.

We drove for a while then came out and the end of the mountain on the other side.

We needed to get back to Pigeon Forge for the Pirate Show!

Thought we might be late but we got back about 20 mins before we had to be there.

(Side Note: I called to get tickets 2 days ago and asked if they did anything for special needs kids or not too many stairs to go up. They said yes just 2 steps up. I said great. Well we got front row!)

All the singing and dancing is so good! Very entertaining.

The fire guy was AMAZING!! 

The 2 different sides had star crossed lovers as the captains. They went up into the air together, really cool! These people are like out of the circus!

Sea Lions came out!

The show was so much fun! The most entertaining thing I have seen in a long time. The girls love love loved it! Being front row, you could see everything so close! We went to the early show at 3 pm and ate an early dinner then. The food was fried chicken, mac n cheese, veg. soup, biscuit. Then dessert-which wasn't very good. So we headed out to do some souvenir shopping!

We found some souvenirs and headed back to the cabin. Gotta get ready to leave tomorrow to go to Chattanooga! We are also going to try to go through the mountains to see some more. Night Night!
