July 28th (Train Adventure-Amtrak to Independence, MO with the McCloskey Clan-Always an Adventure)

Today is the day for the Train!!

April and I wanted to do this last year and we couldn't get it together, finally this is the day.

We had to get up early and get down to Union Station.

I had to drive just me and my girls, ugh I hate it. But I did it and we met the McCloskey clan.

Here we go!

There are not a lot of rules or info on how to get on the train!

So here we go!

So they came around after we were already on the way to check for tickets, hmmmm interesting.

Nobody is on here! Nice!

Being on a train was fun, even though we just went to Independence, MO! Ha.

We then realized we could have gone to Lee's Summit, which would have been a lot better place to go to! Oops. Always an adventure.

Train Station.

There goes the train. Now we just have to walk 22 mins to the town center! The only area I will go in Independence anyways.

Walking and more walking.

It was a Monday so a lot of stuff was closed or closed till 10 am or later. Lol. April picked this day.

We also saw a needle on the sidewalk, wow that's great! Ugh, Independence!!

I had never heard of this place! But it was closed, we need to make an appointment for a tour.

Not a lot open yet. So we found a cute coffee shop that had the Polly Pop in it so we could try it! Score!

The girls played Uno! Ella loves Uno!

At 11 am the restaurant opened.

The courthouse exchange is the only place I like to eat at!

So we hung out at Courthouse Exchange for awhile in the air conditioning. Then we headed out to walk and to check out the train station!

So we got to the train station but the station was closed because of renovations. And it was so hot!!!! We found shade in the gravel. Glad we got here 20-30 mins early! Oh geez.

This is our hang out spot! Everyone is so happy!

We had a fun time! 

We got back to our house around 2:30/3ish! Love catching up and spending time with some of the greatest people I know! Love you McCloskey Clan!
