June 6th (Mexico Trip-7 am Airport/Ella's Reaction to Flying/Delay in Dallas, TX/Cancun/Barcelo-Long Day)

We woke up around 6 am to be ready to leave by 7ish to head to the airport.

We were so lucky that Rob picked us up and dropped us off at the entrance!

The new airport is nice, but I still like the old better!

We got some breakfast from this coffee place and smoothie king. Unfortunately the Chia Latte I got was horrible! Boo!

Watching the airplanes while we waited to get on the plane.

My parents and brother got here about 30 minutes before the airplane left.

We were here early but Nick ran Ella to the bathroom. I thought we had 15 minutes still, but we didn't and the flight attendant was super rude. I had to call Nick and tell him to run with Ella. Oh Geez. Well we made it on got on the plane! 

So we haven't been on an airplane since 2018, which means Ella hasn't flown since she was 6!

She sat by the window, then Addie, then me.

Well she started to freak out, she doesn't like heights. So we got out her tablet to side track her.

She was happy at first, then started to get scared. Poor thing.

Distracting her and we shut the window.

We had a stop in Dalla, TX. We had to get to the right terminal which took a little bit. But then flight was delayed so we got some lunch while we were there. 7-11 in an airport, ha fun! About 45 minutes delay then we got on the plane to Cancun. Nick sat by the girls this time.

Ella held his hand while we took off and we got her tablet out quickly. She did a lot better and didn't get scared.

We got to Cancun headed down to Customs, which took a little while but went pretty quickly. We were are all hungry and thirsty, but there isn't anything to go to when you get out of there. So we got to the people that were going to drive us to our resort. They didn't have any water bottles! Ugh. Oh well we can do this!

It took about 1 hr 30 mins to get to resort.

There are 6 resorts connected together, pulled up to wrong one. So then went to Capri and my mom wasn't happy with this one. Since they have been here twice before, they wanted to go to Tropical. So the lady had to call the Tropical and try to find us rooms near each other! Ugh. I found us water bottles while they tried to get us rooms. 

Well long story short they found Nick and I's rooms on same floor but at least 6 rooms down and on opposite sides of the floor. My parents and brother were in building before ours, but they were a room apart. Finally we headed to our place on the shuttle bus, we got to go on top which was fun!

We headed to our rooms and hung out in the ac for a little bit. It is super super hot here, very muggy!! Our phones weren't working right yet so Nick, Adelyn, Ella and I headed down to buffet because I couldn't get ahold of my parents or have their room number! We ate at the buffet which wasn't good at all. Ugh! Thought we only had to eat here for dinner once but we found out things have changed since my parents went 5 years ago, you only eat at sit down dinner 4 out of the 7 nights now! Nooooo!

My roommate for the trip! Sucks I can't be with Nick but Adelyn and I will get to be together and have some alone time together!!

Hopefully tomorrow is a better day and we sleep in!
