February 16th (Baby Ella is here!!)

Checked into the hospital...6 am...ready to have this baby girl!!

2:11 pm...Baby Ella Jo Benton born 7lbs. 9 oz. 20 inches long!! Love her!!

Her face was all bruised due to being face up coming out...I felt so bad, but that is why I had such bad back labor!

Nana and Nanu...Nana was suppose to be in the room but Ella just came to fast!!

Well today was an exciting and very tireing day!! Lastnight I was up all night again for the 2nd night having contractions and not being able to sleep. Well these kept getting closer and closer together so I knew this had to be it. Well finally around 4 am I woke Nick up and we got stuff ready to leave. Called my mom around 5 am and got Addie in the car to go over to GaGa and PaPa's. Then we headed to Olathe Medical Center and got there at 6 am. I was just worried though that I wasn't all the way in labor since then after having contractions ALL NIGHT they slowed down...WHAT THE HECK!! Well we got there they checked me and I was a 5!! Yes...I was in labor, but needed a little help.

Dr. Snider then came in around 7:30 am and broke my water and Nick and I started walking around the hospital. I then got checked again and was a 6. I then started getting the dreaded back labor people have told me about and my contractions were getting a little out of control for me.

I had to give in to an epidural and they started the pitocin to keep my contractions together. I was feeling much better by 11:30. So I decided to try to get some sleep and tried but could only relax.

The nursed then came in around 1:30 and said the baby kept moving and they couldn't get a heart beat. Well Dr. Snider came around and said, let me just check you and see where this baby is." He then to our surprise said, "well you ready to have a baby or what...you are fully dialated..lets do this."

"What what what, " Nick and I were saying. This was to fast! LOL

Then after pushing about 30 mins with my contractions being all crazy and still not staying together we had our beautiful baby girl Ella Jo Benton!!

This went so fast and was so exciting. This was such an amazing moment and I loved her at first sight!! Great day!!
