I woke up early because I never sleep well the 1st night places. But I walked out to this and it was beautiful out!
Very pretty out here.
The baby kitty is still here!
And the pool has dropped in water plus still has oil on top!
Ugh, the owner never contacted me back.
Little drink gifts from Erika Slinker.
My gifts that we can't use because they were for the pool.
More people are awake.
Enjoying the nice weather this morning.
Well plan number 2, Carmen's boat on Beaver Lake! And as luck has it my parents are down at the Lake House, so we planned on going to their dock to swim! yay! Good thing Carmen lives close!
Carmen is so fun and I have really enjoyed spending time with her!
Thanks for saving the day Carmen and Cal. Her husband came to drive the boat.
Carey, Erin and Sarah ready to go have fun in the water.
Pamela, Erika and Ruth.
Cool water plane.
We got to my parents dock! yay. Time to enjoy the sun for a few hours.
Sarah I think was the first one in! She loves to swim.
Pamela looking cute.
There goes Ruth.
Erin enjoying the water as well.
Having fun!! So calm at Beaver Lake.
Erika and I about to get in the water.
My Aunt Maggie is staying with my parents and came down to swim with us.
The water feels great!!
Popping the Champagne.
We had so much fun relaxing in the water.
Girls Trip shirts picture!!
Love these women.
We only had a couple hours with about 30 min drive one way to our place.
So we headed back to get ready to head into Eureka Springs.
Going up the hill.
We headed back and all got ready as quickly as we could.
Which was about an hour, for 8 women I thought was pretty good.
Time to head out to Eureka Springs for shopping, dinner and a haunted Hotel Tour.
Ready!
The front of our house.
I see a Volkswagon Bus, we missed the parade but figured we would still see some around.
Coming into Eureka Springs.
Antique store to start us off.
Cute Knome.
And a taxidermy store???
Creepy, Weird??!!
Trolley!
So we shopped in a few stores then some people started getting hungry. So we found a yummy place to eat that had steak, Salmon, fancy salads and crème Brule! Yummy!
Well they ended up only having a table inside for 4 and a table outside for 4. And it was super hot out, but it was in the shade with fans. So 3 of us said yes to sitting outside but no one else would sit outside as the 4th person! What?? So we ended up walking down the street and ate at a biker bar called The Cat House?!! Say what?? Really! Ugh I was not happy about it at all.
The food was actually good bar food but not Steak!!!
Luckily our waitress's' were young girls that didn't mind taking our pictures for us! Nice!
After dinner we headed to The Crescent Hotel for the Haunted Tour.
This hotel is over a hundred years old.
More pictures at this beautiful place.
Don't mind me and Carey. Lol.
Pamela and Ruth opted to not do the Haunted Tour.
The other 6 of us were excited to go learn about history of deaths in the hotel. Lol.
From the top of the hotels.
Telling us about a ghost lady that used to be the maid/nanny long time ago who will appear to ghosts at the door and jiggle her keys but will then walk through the door! Creepy.
Hallways are creepy.
Carmen's camera on her phone took pictures without her knowing and she found this face!! Creepy!!
Stomping the floors like the 3 year old that passed away here, when his parents owned the hotel a hundred years ago. A little boy will appear stomping and playing ball in the hall. But normally only around other children or late at night when people are sleeping.
Erin standing by the hotel room that takes 2 years to get into to reserve. It has the most activity especially around women! A man fell off the roof when they were building the hotel and died on a beam where this room would have been when finished. So he loved women so he likes to play around with them in the room! He was pretty cute looking from the picture we saw. Ha.
Old old elevators.
The crew who went on the Ghost Tour.
There is even a ghost cat that walks around the hotel! ha.
Heading out of the hotel to walk down to the basement, where the morgue was.
They just recently found all these bottles buried in the ground while excavating an area on the grounds. The hotel was a hotel, school, hospital then a hotel again. So a "doctor" used to try to help cancer patients, but basically took their money and couldn't help them. So we put them in the morgue/freezer in the basement!
The creepy freezer were lots and lots of bodies were many many years ago! Gross and so cool!
Older vending machines.
We had a really fun time on the tour!
Pictures before we head back down the road to Eureka Springs small town.
We headed down to walk around but everything was closed except some bars.
Giant Skeleton!
Me waiting outside where is was hot because everyone was taking forever picking out Macaron's for a treat. But I wanted ice cream! Talking to Nick waiting FOREVER!!
We finally got some ice cream but it wasn't as fun as I was wanting!!
1st time ever getting ice cream on a girls trip, we must be getting old!! Ha. But I like it!
We headed back to the house to change and have snacks!
We all went in Carey and my's room talking then made our way downstairs to play some games.
Night, night time to go to bed!!
We leave tomorrow, probably with a new cat.
Not me, Erin! lol.
