February 27th (Playing with Addie)

Today was a fun day with Adelyn. While Ella slept I got some laundry done and spent some much needed time with Addie. We played in her room Santa, Princess, Doctor and she helped me do some things around the house. We had a fun day together.

February 25th (Ella's Doctor Visit/KU Game)

Today was a fun and exciting day. LOL Well this morning I noticed again that Ella had eye gunk coming out of her right eye and she was still cranky and I was worried about her throwing up again. So I called the pediatrician and we went in to find out it was a clogged tear ducted and it then got in infected.

I also talked to the Lactation specialist and she said that I have an over supply of milk and that I need to pump before each feeding so she can latch on and not over eat which is why she was throwing up. She needs to get to the hind milk which will help her sleep and feel full. This really helped the rest of the day and she did great.

(Update Stats from Dr. Ella now weighs 7 lbs. 11oz., which was an increase of 7 oz. in 4 days....lol I think she might be an eater!!)

February 24th (Ella Bella Boo)

Today was a good day, but then afternoon hit and Ella had thrown up again. It has happened now 3 times, which of course got me worrying. So she would eat and then come off from nursing. She was very fussy all night and didn't sleep well at night. Tomorrow I am going to call the Lactation Specialist on call and the pediatrician.

February 23rd (Me and my girls!!)

Today me and the girls just hung out at home. I never thought that I would want to be at home everyday. Ella is not a fan of the carseat and it seems it would be a little more difficult with 2 when going out and about. LOL Love my 2 girls and life right now!!

February 22nd (Family Day/ AB visits)

Today Daddy had the day off from work..even though it was a super nice day out. We hung out at home as a family and got some work done around the house. The Grandma's stopped by to visit and Grandma Joy took Addie to the library for the reading. They had lots of fun. Then Daddy's friend AB came and visited to see the baby. We headed up to the park but it didn't go as planned with Ella not wanting to sleep in the carseat. LOL We got home made hamburgers on the grill and called it a night!!

Today was presidents day!! Hollie was our visitor of the day and loved seeing how little Ella was. She is so tiny and I can't believe Addie could have ever been that big...time flies so fast.

Adelyn today was the sweetest Big sister ever and loved playing with her little sister. It was a great day with my mom and girls!! Thanks for all your help mom!!

February 19th (Sunday Fun Day)

Today was another relaxing day for me anyways!! LOL Daddy did all the running around and took Addie with him on his errands so Ella and I could get some sleep. To end the day we read stories, really nice day!!

February 18th (Grandma and Grandpa Visit)

Today was our first full day at home. It was really nice and relaxing. It was really nice having Nick at home and was very helpful with getting me things and taking care of Addie. I pretty much nursed all day and hung out on the couch. Ella is a great little sleeper. It was nice having the Grandparents stop by also. Thanks mom for dinner it was wonderful!!

February 17th (Hospital)

Today was another eventful day!! Ella is one day old...yah yah!! We had a couple different visitors and enjoyed playing with our 2 girls while Addie visited with Grandma Joy.

Adelyn left with Grandma Joy and went to the playground and hung out at her house.

Daddy got to go home to take a shower and Mommy finally took a nice bath and relaxed in between visitors.

It was a real surprise when the nurse told me that I could go home Friday night if I wanted instead or staying till Saturday. I am such a light sleeper that I couldn't get enough rest at the hospital. Well she got to work getting Ella's pictures set up, Ella's blood tested and calling the doctors to let us go. It seemed pretty fast.

Then Daddy and Addie came back up to pick us up. We were home by 7:30 Friday night and it was really nice sleeping in my own bed/couch!! So excited to start are new life together as a family of 4!!
