May 21st (Ella 7th Grade Awards/Reno)

Ready for last full day of school today.

Our house is so white right now! Going to paint with a color named "Taupe of the Morning!"

Paint is coming next, then flooring, then cabinets in kitchen/entryway and in dining room!! Ugh I am so ready to get this going quicker. Hopefully the long weekend will help us get more accomplished. Kitchen cabinets come in 1 week!!

I did mostly nothing today to prepare for Summer time!

I am excited this year, hope we have a great time!

 

May 20th (End of the Year gifts for Ella's teacher's para's and CBR kiddos in 2 classes)

10 buckets ready to go for the 2 teachers and 8 paras!

12 CBR kids for 2 classes!

I made lots of cookies for the kiddos, then smelly good markers with mini blank books for them to make a story over the summer if they want!

Glad I got all this done even though it was a little late. But our house is a mess and I don't have anywhere to put anything!!

Bring on Summer, but I am enjoying this cooler weather right now.

May 18th (Reno-Priming Walls)

Nick priming walls today! Yay.

 

May 17th (Our Garden)

New Garden planted! Nick built me these planters on the side of our house! I love them and can't wait to grow some vegetables. Last year I did it in pots!

May 14th (Ella's Neurology Appt/IHOP Breakfast/Front Garden Beds)

We had a 7:45 am Neurology appointment in Overland Park Children's Mercy. 

Why did I make it for that time?? Ugh! 

We went to lunch after since we didn't have time.

Ella really like IHOP and we shared a meal. I haven't been to one of these in 15 years.

I took Ella to school around 10:30 with a full belly!

Our front beds have the lily's growing, our plants came back from last year! Yay! Long, tiring day today!!
 

May 11th (Happy Mother's Day-Donuts & Starbucks/Opening Pool/Austin's for Dinner/Parade of Homes)

Look what Nick got me for breakfast! Yummy!

We opened the pool this morning.

Then we headed out to Parade of Homes.

We only went to a couple, we weren't really impressed. 

Then ate Austin's for lunch, one of my favorites.

We got home mid afternoon.

Then Nick and I worked on the garden and getting pots ready for flowers. Nick mowed and did dirt work. Not what I really wanted to do on Mother's Day but it needed to be done!

 

May 10th (Working on house/Dinner out for Mother's Day-Garozzos)

We went out to dinner at Garozzo's. 

I was really looking forward to it, but it wasn't very good. I haven't gone since I was 20ish.

Still nice hanging out with my parents and brother, but I probably wont go there again. The food all tasted like sugar! Weird!

 

May 8th (Adelyn's Awards)

Adelyn received some awards again this year!

Wow this is amazing Adelyn!! You are such an amazing 15 year old!!

Adelyn got letters from last year, plus a pin. Got another pin this year to add to it!

 

May 7th (Flowers)

Found all these flowers on clearance today at Walmart!

$! for each set of 4!! Yay. We will have planters this year for our garden, then my pots will be flowers again!

 

May 5th (PJ Day @ School/Ella's Batman RC Car)

Ella has PJ day today at school! She is excited, she would live in them if I let her.

After dinner Daddy and Ella got to play with her car!

She loves this car!!
 

May 4th (Fireplace)

May 3rd (Ceilings!!!!!)

They have been working on the ceilings for 6 weeks!! AHHHH! Well 6 Saturdays! 

We finally got the texture on the ceilings! Finally!

Now we just need to paint the ceilings then we can move onto other things in the house!! yay! They look great.

 

April 30th (Memories/Cooking, Baking & Freezing)

Looking back and saw this cutie! Ugh how is she going to be a Junior!!

Making food/baking all day today!! I need to make food to put in the freezer to have for when we have to rip out the cabinets soon! Got a lot done today, feeling good about that. But I am tired!

Double batch of Cinnamon Rolls, I froze some dough that needed to rise a 2nd time to have hopefully for breakfast one morning.
