April 22nd (Potatoes/Smash Burgers)

I have been growing potatoes from potatoes!! Yep that easy. Lol. I can't believe it's working.

April 21st (Oliver)

After years of owning this cat bed, he finally sleeps in it now?!! Ha.

 

April 20th (T-ball-Funeral Prepping/Long Days)

The last few days have been sad and busy.

Prepping for the celebration of life/funeral for Craig.

Lisa and Nick have been having a hard time. But we have been together most of the time getting things prepped. I feel so bad for them. I am trying to hold it together to help them. But it's been alot.

Today Nick and I took Ella to T-ball which was a nice distraction.

It was cold today!

Ella wanted to cuddle with both of us tonight and watch some tv.

Oliver took Ella's spot when she went to bed.

My poor hubby  is exhausted, glad he is sleeping.

 

April 17th (Nick's Dad Passed Away)

 Unfortunately Nick's dad passed away this morning. He had an artery/vein replaced in his left leg the day before. His legs have had 5 stints in each leg over the last year. It's been an on going issue, his health. He did stop drinking alcohol but still smokes A LOT of cigarettes. His poor health caught up to him. They couldn't revive him when they took him back again to operate on the other leg since it was going cold. He went into cardiac arrest! Nick headed down to KU med around 7 am to meet his sister to say his goodbyes. I got the kids off to school. It was a hard, sad day today. Craig was only 60.

April 15th (Taxes Paid/Front of House)

Mailed off a chunk of money to the IRS and to KS! Not my favorite time of year! Boo.

Got some plants and flowers for our flower beds! yay. It is looking so pretty out here.

Got some of it done, but still a work in progress!

 

April 13th (T-ball/Re-do 17th Anniversary @ Eddie V's)

All the helpers have been great too! Lots of help this season.

She is still a little tired from being sick for 4 days.

The 3 amigos are back together again.

Tonight Nick set up a surprise dinner for us to make up for our not so good 17th Anniversary last month!

We have never eaten here and it looked delicious.

Wow this looks and tastes amazing!!

We shared a filet and each got a lobster tail. Along with 3 sides!

Very good and fancy!

We aren't really drinking alcohol anymore. So we were just drinking water, but our waitress was so sweet and brought us non alcoholic champagne! 

We got this free for our anniversary bananas foster plus we got a crème Brule to share!

Yummy!

It was a nice warm day, but a little windy.

Now this was more of an anniversary dinner!

Thanks for making it up for me honey!
